BLACKSTONE

Blackstone Automotive in Dandenong South inspects and repairs brakes and suspension: pads, rotors, fluid, shock absorbers, bushes and steering components.

Signs to get them checked

Squeaking or grinding when braking, a soft or sinking pedal, the car pulling under braking, a brake warning light, a bouncy or unsettled ride, knocking over bumps, or uneven tyre wear.

What we check

Pad and rotor wear, brake fluid condition and leaks, callipers, shock absorbers, springs, bushes, ball joints and steering linkages.

What happens next

We explain what's worn or damaged, what's urgent and what can wait, and quote before any repair. Nothing extra is done without your approval.

What affects the cost

Which parts are worn, the parts your vehicle needs, and whether related items (such as rotors with pads) need doing at the same time.

Questions about brakes and suspension

Do rotors always need replacing with pads?

Not always. If the rotors are within specification and in good condition they can stay. We measure them and explain the options.

My brake pedal feels soft. Is it safe to drive?

A soft or sinking pedal can mean air or a leak in the system. Have it checked as soon as possible and avoid driving if braking feels unsafe.

What causes a knocking noise over bumps?

Common causes are worn bushes, ball joints, sway-bar links or shock absorbers. We inspect the suspension and steering to find which.
